Last week, on November 1st we had a special launch for a new amazing program being sponsored by the DCPTA! WATCH D.O.G.S.! We had a great turn out and even got some dads to join but we need more!
So you ask, what in the world is WATCH D.O.G.S.? Who is it for? How do we join? What are the commitments?
Well WATCH D.O.G.S. stands for “Dads of Great Students”. It is a program designed to encourage more on campus participation from the father figures in our student’s lives. So, it is for the Dads and it benefits the kids! Joining is free and can be done by simply submitting a membership form. We have one available online via google docs. You can find it by clicking here! By signing up you are agreeing to offer at least one day to volunteer on campus during the school year. After you join we will email you a sign up so that you can choose a day to volunteer that best works with your schedule.
We have received a great deal of enthusiasm about this program from the staff at Diamond Canyon. There are so many benefits to having fathers more engaged in their kids lives and in their educational experience. We feel very confident that this program will be a huge success at Diamond Canyon and we just can’t wait to really get it off the ground!
